Kukummi Safaris has been in operation since 2010, and has developed an international reputation for truly memorable tours in Southern Africa with a distinctive personal touch. EVELIEN

Kukummi Safaris is co-owned and managed by Evelien Klokman, a Dutch national who emigrated to South Africa in 1999. Evelien has over twenty years’ experience in the travel and tourism sector, and is dying to share her substantial knowledge of her adopted home with you!

Having worked with large tour operators Evelien is able to drive economies of scale on tours making them highly affordable. Her hospitality background means she has insider knowledge of the best lodges and guesthouses in the region, and her own passion for travel means that she has travelled the breadth of Southern Africa and has first-hand knowledge of the accommodation and destinations that she promotes to her clients.

INGRID

Ingrid Burger-van Pinxteren’s South African adventure started in 2002 when she fell in love with the country during a traineeship near Kruger National Park. After gaining valuable tour operator experience in The Netherlands and in South Africa Ingrid joined Kukummi Safaris in 2017. She brings a wealth of experience to the team and personally knows all hot spots in Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Madagascar and South Africa. With her enthusiasm, passion and personal tips Ingrid will add that special ‘Kukummi’ to your next holiday!

KIM

Kim van Dongen was born and raised in the Netherlands and has always had a love for travelling. She has a degree in performing arts as well as in social work. She works with children and uses her creativity to encourage them in their development. After a big trip through Southern Africa in 2008 she knew she wanted to come back. So in 2010 Kim spend 6 months traveling and working in underprivileged communities.

Since 2012 she has been living in Cape Town with her young family, and whenever they get a chance they go on adventures and explore the country. With her natural talent for language, love for writing and extensive travel experience she supports the team in creating memorable travels. Kim prepares the extensive Travel Books which Kukummi clients receive.
