Kukummi Safaris has adequate insurance in place for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity, for your peace of mind. Our Public Liability Cover is R5 000 000 and our Professional Indemnity cover is R500 000.
Kukummi Safaris - TERMS & CONDITIONS
You will receive a copy of our Terms & Conditions upon confirmation of your booking. You will be asked to sign for the fact that you have read and understood these.
1. Reservations
- These conditions apply to all contracts between Kukummi Safaris and the clients as mentioned on the booking form. Where the booking form is signed by the customer named as Lead Person, such signature shall be deemed to be on behalf of all the participants named on the booking form.
- We will provide you with a written quote for a tour. No verbal quote will be valid unless subsequently confirmed in writing. Quotations are valid for 1 month from original date of quote and subject to availability of flights, accommodation, car rental, excursions and activities.
- Medical Aid and Travel Insurances are excluded from the quotation and are compulsory to all travellers.
- To confirm a booking a Booking Form needs to be completed, signed and emailed back to Kukummi Safaris.
2. Rates
- Rates are quoted in South African Rand, unless otherwise stipulated.
- Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
- As special tour operator rates are used for our tours, we are not able at any stage to give a breakdown of the individual component prices which make up the overall cost of the tour.
3. Payments
- 50% deposit is required immediately to confirm the booking.
- You shall pay the balance of the tour price no later than one month before commencement of the tour. If you fail to do so we reserve the right to cancel the tour and levy cancellation fees as set out in clause 5.
- If bookings are made within 30 days or less of commencement of the tour, then full settlement is required immediately.
- Payments need to be done via bank transfer into Kukummi’s South African bank account or into the international account with Exchange 4 Free and proof of payment needs to be sent.
4. Amendment
- In cases of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control which causes the tour to be altered, Kukummi Safaris reserves the right to adjust the arrangements which best fits into the itinerary, even though confirmation of the tour has already been finalised and payments made.
- Adjustments to the itinerary must be made available to the travellers immediately.
- If, after the booking form has been signed, you request an alteration in the persons, date or contents of the tour we will do our utmost to try and accommodate such a request although we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
- If a traveller has a request to make certain changes to the tour e.g. different pick up points, pick up times etc. it will only be done if convenient to the other travellers. Any requests, such as these, need to be made at least one month prior to commencement of tour, for it to be considered.
- Upon confirming the alterations made by you, the full tour price shall be amended accordingly. Kukummi Safaris reserves the right to charge an administration fee in respect of each requested alteration.
- Kukummi Safaris can issue special updates on the amendment policy if force majeure events necessitate such an update.
5. Cancellations
- Complete or partial cancellation by you of your booking must be done in writing and emailed to Kukummi Safaris.
- A cancellation fee will apply depending on the period of time between us receiving your written notification of cancellation and the commencement of the tour.
The fees are as follows:
Cancellation up to and including 30 days prior to commencement of tour:
50% of the total charged
Cancellation from 29 days to 14 days prior to commencement of tour:
75% of the total charged
Cancellation from 14 days up until the day the tour commences:
100% of the total charged
No shows and cancellation after departure:
100% of the total charged
6. Force Majeure
Kukummi Safaris is not responsible for any failure to perform its obligations under these terms and conditions, if it is prevented or delayed in performing those obligations by an event of force majeure. Force majeure events include but are not limited to acts of nature, epidemics, pandemics, international conflict, military force, strikes, war and riots. Kukummi Safaris will assist their clients to the best of its abilities in the event of force majeure to either continue with the itinerary or abort it in order to return back home. Any additional expenses arising from the amended arrangements are to be carried by the client. If the tour is to be cut short, full cancellation fees apply as outlined in clause 5.
7. Your responsibility
- It is your responsibility to ensure that all participants named on the booking form are in possession of valid passports, and visa where applicable, with at least 6 months validity beyond the date of your return.
- It is your responsibility to comply with the terms and conditions of the supplier of the different elements of the tour together with all laws and regulations in the jurisdictions that you visit.
- If a traveller, after being warned, persists in disturbing the other travellers or tour procedures Kukummi Safaris can end their tour at any time and the full price is payable.
- It is your responsibility to confirm flights, comply with baggage limitations and ensure that you are in the right place and at the right time for all travel arrangements.
